Holland America Line. Rotterdam, Caribbean Cruise, 20th February 2023, Bonaire and Klein Bonaire.

 19th February 2023, at sea  & 20th February 2023, Kralendijk, Bonaire.

The sea day was the same as the other sea days had been, lots of Origami and Trivia. Quite repetitive and not very interesting.  Due to the sun bed situation we mainly stayed on out balcony today, one positive was that the seas were very calm so so the ship seemed a bit more stable.
I took time to look at the art work on the ship, it is very impressive.

20th February 2023. Kralendijk. Bonaire.

Arrival 08.00 - All Aboard 22.30.
Knowing we had a full day, I had booked a Water Taxi to Klein Bonaire for the morning, and E Scooters for the afternoon.
The ship was docked very near to the café where the Water Taxis go from, they go every hour, from 09.15. We were on the first one over to the Island. The journey took 45 minutes. We found a shady spot on the beach and snorkelled for the morning.

Klein Bonaire

The snorkelling on Klein Bonaire was the best we saw in the Caribbean, it was wonderful. We got the 13.45 water Taxi back and picked up the scooters.
Green Bikes Bonaire is one street from the port. The scooters are electric.

The roads in Bonaire were busy and in poor condition. But we rode past the salt flats, saw flamingos, saw lots of people SCUBA diving off the beach and got to the Slave Huts.

Then we enjoyed sundowners at two local bars and enjoyed strolling around the town of Kralendijk, before getting back on the ship just before sailing time.
It had been a great day and I loved Bonaire, very laid back, clean, friendly and defiantly worth a longer visit.
