February 17th 2023. Grand Turk.
We were due to dock at 10.00 and it was 10.30 when we could get off.
I had booked a golf cart with GDT, he was located outside the cruise port gates. The golf cart was petrol driven. Along with people hiring out mopeds, Quads and more golf carts. You did not need to book ahead.

Golf Cart on Grand Turk |
Grand Turk is a small Island, just 7 miles long and 1.5 miles wide, so the golf cart is perfect for exploring the Island. |

GDT were a good company to rent from as within minutes we were shown the golf cart workings and given a map and the keys. We went to the top of the Island, where the lighthouse is located, there were a lot of information board explaining the history of the Island, its salt and the lighthouse. The reefs that had claimed many ships could be seen. It was a beautiful spot and well worth the visit.

Donkeys are seen all over the Island, but especially by the lighthouse as a man is selling carrots in the car park. We made our was to Corktree beach, Pillory Beach and finally Governors beach. All gorgeous clean beaches with crystal clear water. |

Explored the small town of Cockburn, then drove out to the salt flats and White Sands Beach. Filled the golf cart up with petrol and gave it back. The purpose built cruise port has a beach, flow rider, Margaritaville, shops and other attractions so you could spend the day there if you wanted to.
Back on the ship at 16.30, dinner in the main dining room, a few drinks then bed. It had been a great day. Really enjoyed Grand Turk and glad we got out and explored the island. |
