Cycle Rajasthan with Intrepid; Trip report. Day Four, Pushkar
Today was our first real day of cycling. we were due to do 100 Km today.
The first 50 Km were flat then there was a bit of undulation
(another word for hills) and as the slowest rider in the group, I felt pressured into keeping up with the lead riders as I didn't want to effect our arrival time into Pushkar. The advantage of booking a tour is that you do have a coach you can get into at any time as well as another support vehicle with a mechanic.
Having had a few stops for Chai along the way, it was early evening when we arrived into Pushkar. This is a Hindu pilgrimage town, so no Alcohol or meat is served. it is located on a lake and has a very spiritual feel to it.
Our hotel was the Master Paradise, it was an older style building looking like an on mansion. the rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The dinner was a set buffet; it was very nice as was breakfast the next morning.

After all the bumpy roads, I booked in for a back and shoulder massage; this was done in a small storage area that had been converted into a 'Spa'. the massage was one of the best I have ever had- I was ready to face tomorrows challenges.
