Celebrity Millennium, Spice route cruise. Phuket, Thailand. January 2026

Phuket. Thailand. 07.00 - 19.00

As we have been to Phuket in Thailand before we decided to have a day on the beach today. 

The ship was at anchor in Patong Bay. So it was a tender service to the Pier, this was opposite the Patong Signature Boutique Hotel. 

There was no que for the tenders and very little waiting once on board the ferry type vessels. It took about 15 minutes to the pier. 

At the end of the pier there were lots of Tuk Tuks and Taxis offering a multitude of tours. 

We walked up the beach and rented 2 sunbeds with umbrella for about £5.00. 

Plenty of hawkers were offering massages, and drinks. I had a delicious and refreshing coconut. There were clean toilets near to us costing 10 TB. Te toilets also had showers if you needed one. 

Later in the afternoon we left the sunbeds and went for a traditional Thai massage. I don't know if I would describe this as a pleasure as it was a very painful experience! As every knot in my body was found and worked on - But I did feel the benefit the next day!

Back on the ship we had a pot of tea at Cafe al Bacio, with a couple of cakes. Always a great place to stop for a while. 

This evening it was 'Smart Casual', A Welsh singers called Shellyann, who was fantastic; I don't know why she only did one show? Then we headed up to the Sky Lounge for the Motown Party. 

Now we had two days at sea to relax as we travelled towards Sri Lanka.
