Celebrity Eclipse, 14 Night Argentina Cruise, 7th & 8th March 2020. At Sea and Cape Horn.

 7th March 2020. 

It was time to relax again, and as we sailed South, the temperature dropped, the seas became very choppy and rough with a big swell. But the ship was warm and stable and I did not suffer from any sea sickness. 

We settled into our sea day routine of gym, quiz and good food and wine! I also caught up with world news. Once again Covid 19 was the main topic. 

The WHO reported that over 100 countries now had Covid cases, Italy was very bad with over 1200 cases and 36 deaths in one day, and PPE was in short supply for hospital staff. Argentina reported its first Covid 19 death. On the ship Captain Leo advised us to was our hands frequently. 

8th March 2020

Today was another sea day, but we were rounding Cape Horn. It was an overcast but calm day and we could see Cape Horn.
