Celebrity Millennium, Spice Route cruise. Mumbai, India. February 2026
Mumbai, India
7th February 06:30 (overnight on ship) - 8th February 2026 - 09:00
Having enjoyed our last sea day with its gala night menu and Silent Disco: Battle of the DJ'S.
On waking up at 06:00 we were already docked in Mumbai, at the new Mumbai Cruise Terminal.
The new terminal was very organised, with many customs officers in attendance and once we left the ship it didn't take long to be at the port gates, or Green Gate as it was being called.

At the Port entrance there were lots of tour operators and taxis waiting for pre arranged passengers and many hoping to tempt other passengers who had not booked anything.
I had booked a 4 1/2 tour with Magical Mumbai Tours, again we were looking for an umbrella; this time a white one.
We were given an air conditioned car with a driver, who took us to meet our first guide. We were shown an area where plastic from Europe is recycled. Soap being made, textiles produced, leather production. All very interesting and respectfully done. A really thought provoking tour.

The driver, who didn't speak any English now took us to various places, where we met guides who had varying degrees of English.
We visited the station, built as a palace for Queen Victoria; who couldn't be bothered to visit!!!
The Crawford Market, The hanging gardens, Ghandi's house and a view point overlooking the amazing Dhobi Ghat - the world largest outdoor laundry. This was a disappointment as the tour had stated it included a guided tour of the Dhobi.
Due to traffic congestion it had taken well over another 4 hours to see theses sights and we still had two places to visit. As we were hot, tired and hungry was asked the guide just to take us back to the ship.
I did enjoy parts of the tour but felt it was not as advertised. It was far longer and although the car was a 'private' one, we did not have an individual guide, and not going into Dhobi Ghat was disappointing. It did however give us a glimpse into the 'City of Dreams' with its 18 million people and a basic understanding of where the main 'sights' were.
Back on the ship we had a few hours in the pool prior to packing our cases. Thanked our cabin steward who had kept our room spotless through out our stay.
Our last Martini at the Martini Bar, our last fabulous dinner in the Metropolitan Restaurant and thanks our marvellous waiters and sommelier who had looked after us so well during the last 12 days.
Our stay on Celebrity Millennium had been outstanding, thank you to each and every person on the ship for making our holiday unforgettable.
