Today we visited the Joshua Tree National Park.

Enjoyed the landscape with its rock formations and the vegetation. We did a couple of the 'hikes' - in England we would just call them walks, as they were not challenging, but it gave us an opportunity to admire the desert landscape at close quarters. There were hundreds of tiny frogs that had appeared after the rain.12/ 13/ 14/15 September 2022
We then made our way to the Marriott Desert Spring II resort close to Palm Springs to relax for 4 nights.
The resort was good, the room had a small kitchen, a big bathroom and a great bed. It was clean and quiet. There were seven swimming pools to use dotted around, golf courses, a club house, immaculate gardens and a BBQ. We got off to Aldi in Palm Springs to get our supplies for the next three nights of BBQing.
Palm Springs its self was just what I had expected, a place where people retire and seem to live very well. If I could afford it I would retire there, the climate was perfect.  |

All to soon it was time to return to LAX, return the hire car, a far easier process than picking it up. A shuttle bus took us to the BA terminal at LAX, the check in que was long. The fight home was on time and uneventful. We landed on time at LHR, then drove to Manchester.
